Claim It! Feel It! Live It!

Claim the Life brings together the hopes you have for your youth: spiritual formation, discipleship, Christian community, and faith knowledge.

Claim the Life is a 6-year comprehensive youth curriculum for Sunday school. Each year’s theme is developed in 2 school-year semesters of 16 weeks each.

   

Younger Youth       

           
  • Journey (Available Now): Introduction to Christian living         
  • Word (Available Now): Scripture for life         
  • Faith (Available 2009): Christian beliefs     

Older Youth
               
  • Promise (Available Now): God’s promises, Jesus’ promises, our promises       
  • Story (Available Now): The Bible’s big story         
  • Call (Available 2009): Responding to God’s call     


Alternative Grouping Options

Claim the Life is specifically designed with younger youth and older youth in mind. However, classes with age levels combined differently will be able to use the materials successfully. In addition to the link above with alternative grouping options, Claim the Life each week provides two teaching options for each session. You can choose what will work best for your class:       

                          
  • Option A: "One Big Thing" (task or experience)       
  • Option B: "Q & D" (discussion starter)   


Video Options

In each semester, 5 of the 16 lessons for Option B use one of the Veracity Video Vignettes as the discussion starter. The exceptions are the two semesters of Story. For each of the 16 sessions there is a video. The series for Story is Good God Theater, Act 1: Old Testament and Act 2: New Testament

Claim the Life lessons each revolve around a single key word (or phrase) from Scripture. These words are significant to claiming life as a Christian. They include Commitment, Blessing, Peace, Abundant Life, Forgiving, Humility, Abstain, Follow, Fruitful, Belonging, Praying, and Image of God—to name only a few of the 192 in the 6-year Learning Plan.Give your youth a language of faith so they can claim it, feel it, live it!
