Good God Theater

Good God Theater accompanies the "Story" volume of Claim the Life (replacing the Veracity Video Vignettes that supplement the other volumes). Good God Theater Act 1 tells the Old Testament story in 16 sketch comedy or drama segments, one for each session of the first semester of "Story." Good God Theater Act 2 includes 16 vignettes that tell the New Testament story and correspond with the second semester of "Story." (See the learning plan for more information about each session.)

Acclaimed actor Ted Swartz and Ted & Company TheaterWorks are the masterminds behind Good God Theater. These actors tell familiar (and not-so-familiar) Bible stories through the eyes of the people whom the Scriptures are about. Ted & Company have a unique take on biblical matters such as Cain and Abel's sibling rivalry, Jonah's frustration with life as a prophet, and the early church's deliberations about whether Gentiles should follow Jewish law. In addition to highlighting individual Scriptures, these vignettes work together to tell the bigger story of God's love for all creation.
